Guide for DOOM 3 - Resurrection of Evil (2025)

Playthrough 1: Collectibles, and Miscellaneous Achievements

Resurrection of Evil was an add-on to the original Doom 3 that has been included in the Xbox 360 version. It is simply just a supplementary story to the main campaign. It is much shorter but has the same exact format. There are only 12 levels and 21 collectibles across them.

Thankfully, unlike Doom 3, where you have to find all of the PDA's, locker codes, and video discs in order to get 3 different achievements, Resurrection Of Evil only requires you to find all of the PDA's as there are no achievements tied to the lockers or the video discs. Just as with the main campaign I will provide a step-by-step guide through the game showing you where all collectibles are along with combat changes and tips inside spoilers for the Nightmare playthrough. However, if you want to watch a video for the PDA's, I have linked a video below. Credit goes to HarryNinetyFour.

Note: This video guide is done on the Playstation 3 version of the game, but it has no difference towards the collectibles compared to the Xbox 360 version of the game.

So, let's get on with it. Once again, combat tips for your Nightmare run are within the spoiler tags, but if this is your first playthrough start it up on Recruit.

Level 1: Erebus - Level 1

Note: This is a great level to get the achievement for not taking an damage since there are so few enemies. It is also likely you will get it on Nightmare since there are no health pick-ups available and everything will kill you in one hit.

Ancient Ruins

Walk forward and you will encounter a short cutscene. After that walk forward through a more open room. On the right there will be an opening in the wall. Crouch through here and pick up the Shotgun. When you go forward out of this room, a new version of the Lost Soul will pop out, a Forgotten One. Continue forward, avoiding the hole in the floor, and go around the corner. As you approach the next corner another Forgotten One will pop out at you. Continue down the last part of this room.

Excavation Hall

As you enter, immediately in your path is a machine. Interact with the terminal on it to remove the item. When you walk forward two Forgotten Ones will spawn. Continue forward. Now you will approach a similar machine on the other end of the path. Insert the item you grabbed earlier. Then you will be able to hitch a ride on the rising platforms to your left. Jump off at the top.

Lift Depot

One Forgotten One will spawn up here above your head. If you are facing the mechanism that the platform you are on is attached to you're going to have to get off to your right and walk up the rocks to the next area. Before going through the door at the end of the hall, make sure you pick up the Machine Gun on the groundjust past the door.

Ancient Ruins

Go down the steps on either side. Two Forgotten Ones will spawn behind you and an Imp in front of you. Jump over the rubble at the other end of the room to reach the next door, and a cutscene. During this cutscene you will get the Grabber.

Tunnel Access

Go down the spiral staircase. There will be some crates blocking your path. Just use the Grabber to move them out of the way and then go through the new opening. At the bottom of the steps there will be a couple of Forgotten Ones hanging out. There will be three in total through the rest of the room. Just follow the path to the next area.

Central Excavation

Go around the left side of the room and approach the staircase in the middle. When you do two Forgotten Ones will spawn in the direction you came from. Go up the steps and through the door. Just be watch out for the Forgotten One waiting for you on the other side.

Ancient Ruins

Part way down this initial hall, look left for a gap in the brick. There will be a Forgotten One hiding in here. There will be another in a gap slightly ahead on the right. When you reach the open room in this area, there will be a third one hiding around the corner on the right. Also, an Imp will spawn in here. Let it throw a fireball at you and you can use the Grabber to throw it back (Grabber Kills 1/20). Then continue up the stairs and make a right. Take the elevator in here to end the mission.

For the next wave of Imps, when the room goes dark, run back into the hall you came from and let them throw fireballs at you and then throw them back with the Grabber. If you want you can shoot the one that spawns in the entrance of that hall with the Shotgun. Then at the top grab the Forgotten One all the way at the end and then the one around the corner.

If you took no damage you will unlock:

Complete a level without taking any damage in DOOM 3, RoE, or Lost Mission (except Mars City)

Level 2: Erebus - Level 2

Maintenance Elevator

The elevator will stop, and you may see an enemy spawn outside the elevator. Just ignore it and eventually the elevator will let you out. Go around the back of the elevator and take the stairs. At the end of the first part of the path, before the path turns to the left, grab the Grenades off of the crate. Enter the room at the end of the path.

Maintenance Supply

In the back right of the room on a bench is a PDA (Marcus Tanner) (1/21). Grab some health from the health station and leave the room.

Maintenance Elevator

As you leave an Imp will spawn. Use the Grabber to kill it again. You may need to run down the walkway to get enough distance, after which another will spawn (Grabber Kills 2 & 3/20). Continuing along the path, yet another Imp will confront you. It will climb over the railing. Do the same to that one (Grabber Kills 4/20). There will be another on the ground floor just past the elevator (Grabber Kills 5/20). When they are all dead go through the broken bay door.

Access Tunnel

You will get a short cutscene which will introduce a new enemy, a Vulgar. Just kill it and go through the locked door.

Ancient Ruins

Another Vulgar will pop out here, along with one Tick at the end of the hall. Jump over the ruins on the right to start a cutscene.

Ancient Portal

Time for a boss fight! The Hell Hunter There are two turrets on either side of the room. In order to kill this enemy you need to use the Grabber and grab the projectiles from these turrets and throw it at Hell Hunter. Conventional weapons won't kill it. Do this 5-6 times and you will kill it, unlocking:

After defeating the Helltime Hunter, you will notice a new feature being placed into the Artifact. It will start beating more faster and it will give you the ability to control time. When activated the area and enemies around you will go slow motion for a short period of time.

It only has a certain amount of energy. If it runs out you will need to find a dead human body and then the Artifact will retrieve it's soul, which will recharge it. There is an achievement for getting 5 kills while the Artifact is activated. I will point out good places to unlock this as we go.

When you are ready to continue the level, go through the door on the right side of the room.

Portal Junction

Just follow the path. Charge up the Artifact with some of the dead bodies until you see three heart symbols at the bottom right.

Ancient Machine

On your way in you will see another dead body to get a full charge. When you get down the hall a bit more you will see a bunch of stone slabs slamming against each other. You will need to use the Artifact to slow down time. Take the a left and then a right. You will then see the door to the next area out of which a soldier will come out.

Tablet Site Beta

On the other side of the room is a power cell generator. Remove the power cell and run through the door on the left before it closes.

Central Excavation

Follow the platform around to the right. You need to use the Grabber to get into that door.

Excavation Control

Right as you enter an Imp will jump out, use the Grabber to kill it (Grabber Kill 6/20). At the other end of the hall is a Vulgar. Again, use the Grabber to kill it (Grabber Kill 7/20). In the follow area, after going through the door at the end of the hall, you can get a couple more Grabber kills. There will be a Soldier. Ignore him, because behind him is an Imp. Use the Imp's fireballs to kill both of them (Grabber Kills 8 & 9/20). In the back of this room is a terminal you can interact with. Do so. Also note the health station directly across from that. In the next hall there will be another Imp. Kill it with the Grabber (Grabber Kill 10/20).

Elevator Bay

In here two enemies (an Imp and a Vulgar) will spawn. The Imp will come from the floor in front of the storage locker. The Vulgar will come from the room ahead of you (Grabber Kills 11 & 12/20). Now in this room if you look to the left is an open gate. Crawl under it and hug the left wall to climb the ladder. Follow the path and you land in another room with a PDA (Sean Weston) (2/21). You can duck under the door to get back to the room. In that room with the PDA is Storage Locker 028 (Code 516). Right by that door in Elevator Bay is Storage Locker 029 (Code 516). Again, you do not need all of the lockers but they do still help.

Lower Storage

There are just two soldiers in here. Nothing special. Kill them and carry on.

Mechanical Support

It can be a little tricky but you can get 3 Grabber kills. Look down the stairs and the Imp will crawl out. Use it's fireballs to kill the two soldiers in here, then use one more to kill the Imp itself (Grabber Kills 13-16/20). Back track to health station if you need health or look down the steps. Either way, go up the steps and through the door.

Central Excavation

As you enter this area there will be an Imp, use the Grabber (Grabber Kill 17/20). Go down the steps and look to the left at the bottom for the PDA (Gregory Martin) (3/21). Then go over to the right and use the panel on the other end of the room. When you a Forgotten One will spawn off the edge to your left. There will also be a Vulgar that spawns, use the Grabber (Grabber Kill 18/20). Climb the ladder and go through the door.

Upper Storage

Kill the Soldier and go through the next door. There will be a Vulgar who you can kill with the Grabber (Grabber Kill 19/20). Then follow it the path to the left into Transfer Control. Insert the power cell into the generator and then use the terminal to call the lift. When you leave that office look right to the door you came from and there will be two soldiers. Backtrack to Central Excavation.

Before activating the terminal put the barrel by the door to the terminal. When you leave and the Vulgar shows up, throw the barrel right at it. Run into the room then back into Transfer Control to trigger the Soldiers. When you see them walk into the center of the room throw a grenade. If you one survives then wait for the one that survived next to the door frame and blast it as it walks into the room.

Central Excavation

When you enter here there will be a soldier. Climb down and call the lift and exit the level.

Level 03: Erebus - Level 3

Overview: You will start off this area in an ancient ruined part. You will be re-united with some new enemies from Doom 3, but you will end up visiting a laboratory area as well infested with machine-gun Security Guards.

Excavation Transfer Lift

Explore a bit to find some ammo while radio transmision goes by. When it does, go up the big steps and through the door.

Levitation Site Gamme

Here is a sort of good place for an achievement. You're going to have 4 Wraiths and a Tick. Run straight, up the stairs on the right and then make a left, approach the door and continue left to drop back down. If you go back up the stairs you should have all the enemies on you. Take out the Artifact and activate it. Just use your Grenades on them. If you kill all 5 before your Hell Time runs out you will unlock:

If you cannot get it here because the RNG is not working in your favor, there will be other places. It is also an even better spot on Nightmare since more enemies spawn, so keep that in mind if you don't get it on the initial playthrough.

Chamber Junction 1

There will be a Tick and a Wraith in here. Just kill them and move on.

The Proving Grounds

Right as you enter, grab the PDA (Stewart Jackson) (4/21). This room is a bit tricky. You're going to have to time every movement. You have these energy balls going back and forth in the same simple repeated pattern. If you get hit you will instantly die. The idea is simple, as soon as you see both orbs in front of you move past you, run to the next part of the path that has pillars covering you. Here is a video in case you are having trouble getting the pattern down:

Continue through the linear path until you get to Main Excavation where you'll get a very short cutscene.

Main Excavation

When you gain control there will be a Vulgar. Use your Grabber to kill it (Grabber Kill 20/20). If you have gotten all of the same kills that I have you will unlock:

Play Catch

Kill 20 enemies with projectiles launched from the Grabber in RoE

If you don't get it yet, just keep using it. Anyway, continue through the room. You can climb up the scaffolding and do some parkour to the ruins to find some ammo and health. Either way, go through to the door across from were you entered.

Excavation Utility

There will be two Soldiers and two Vulgars, one of which will come from behind you. Follow the hall and take a left. At the end take the door on the left and take the elevator up to level 2. At the top a Soldier will be waiting for you.

On the way up in the elevator use the Artifact and take out your Fists. Punch the two Soldiers waiting for you and then go to the next door and kill the other soldier that will come out of it.

Note: On Nightmare this is a get place to get a kill with one heath point left. Let the one from the behind the crate shoot you once or twice and it'll get you down to 1. If you kill him after that you will unlock:

Erebus Labs Bio Facility

If you go left there will be one soldier that comes through the door. If you go right you will find Storage Locker 105 (Code 769). Continue through the door here and the next hall.

X-Ray Laboratory

There will be three zombies that walk towards you. Two from the left and one from the right.

Medical Ward

There will be a zombie in the back left. Near the zombie, to the right, there will be a PDA (Preston Glenn) (5/21). Remove the power cell from the generator to the right of the PDA. Time to backtrack.

Two Vulgars will spawn in here. One at the other door and the other inside the x-ray machine.

Erebus Labs Bio Facility

One Vulgar will spawn near the storage locker. Keep backtracking. When you leave the elevator a Vulgar will be waiting for you. Out of the elevator walk across the hall and unlock the door.

Site 1 Research Access

As you enter there will be a dead soldier (which can be used to charge the artifact) and by that soldier will be a PDA (Steven Crane) (6/21). To the left of that soldier is the door you need to walk through.

Excavation Systems

There will be a few zombies in here. Take a left and climb the ladder then go through the door.

There will be around 4 zombies. Kill them then go straight down the hallway to the next room.

Lab Administration

Go straight through the door right in front of you. There will be a keypad. Enter in 428. You can pick up the Double Barrel Shotgun and a key. There's also an arcade machine in here which you can use if you still need:

Go down to the other office, using the key you just picked up. Take the power cell from in here. That will spawn two zombies. There will be a third one outside that office. Now time to backtrack. When you leave this room to go back there will be another zombie at the door. When you kill it, don't go back in the room. When I went back in, the room went red and all the doors would not open.

Lab Systems

Another chance to get 5 kills with Hell Time. In this room well more than 5 zombies are going to spawn. Use the Artifact and go to town on them. I you didn't pop it earlier, you will certainly pop it now:

When you approach the door on the other side of the room from where you will arrive, there will be a Vulgar that comes out of the door. Go through that door.

Artifact Storage Observation

Along the long hallway there will be two Vulgars. Follow the hall into Artifact Storage Control and use the power cell with the generator and interact with the computer terminal. Now backtrack to Excavation Systems and this time take a left back into Site 1 Research Access and take a left in here to enter Artifact Storage. On the way back there will be two Soldiers and a Vulgar. Then two more soldiers just before Artifact Storage.

Artifact Storage

Walk forward and to the left down a small set of stairs. There will be a dead body along with a PDA (Viktor Kharkov) (7/21). Around the corner from here is a terminal. Walk up to it to get an item. After that two Vulgars will spawn and a zombie will come through the door right in front of the steps. Go through it, kill the two zombies, and make a left to find the exit.

Excavation Receiving

Go up the stairs and then make a right into the next room. We will need to come back here after finding some power cells.

Excavation Systems

There will be a zombie in here along with two soldiers. Enter the next door in here. On your left there will be a Vulgar.

Take a right in here and head to the other side. A Vulgar will come out from the door at the end. Go in there.

Administration Checkpoint

When the door opens an Imp is going to leap at you, so stay at the back of the room. When it's dead, proceed.

Administration Access

There will be a solider and an Imp in here. There will also be Storage Locker 408 (Code 937). Then turn around and go to the back left corner and you will see a fleshy tunnel. Go through it.

Just follow the linear path in here. There will be an Imp, a Vulgar, and then a Soldier and a second Vulgar.

Administration North Hall

There will be a zombie around the left corner. Go to the end of the hall and on the left there will be a PDA (Ron Gibbons) (8/21). Go back to the previous door and go through the locked door at the other end of the hall.

Administration South Hall

A soldier will come out from the door on the right. There will also be a zombie in here. An Imp may follow you in here from the hallway. Walk further down the hall and a Vulgar will jump out. If you need ammo take a right into Administration Processing. Around the corner in the back is a zombie. Go through the door on the left, across from the zombie.

Administration East Hall

There will be two soldiers in here, one that comes through the door you need to go through and the other at the other end of the hall.

Excavation Transfer

There will be a Vulgar and an Imp in here, right by the generator. There will also be a PDA (Mac Smith) (9/21) right next to the generator. Backtrack through Administration East Hall. Instead of going back through the door you went through, go through the other door on your right.

Administration Main Office

There will be two zombies on the right side of the room. There is also Storage Locker 407 (Code 937) in the back on the right side. Go to the other side of the room and go to the back. There will be a soldier waiting for you back here. There is also a generator you can take a power cell from. There will be two Vulgars that spawn. Now go back to Excavation Transfer (out of this room then across the hall). There will be Vulgar waiting for you here.

Excvation Transfer

Use the generator to insert the power cell. Now wait for a crate to come up and drop down onto it. Turn around and as soon as you see an opening to an upper platform, jump off. If you wait too long you will get crushed. Go through the door up here. Follow the hallway until you get into the Lobby.

Lobby

Immediately on your right is a soldier. If you go straight to the back left of the room, on the ground there is a PDA (Nathan Reynolds) (10/21). There will be a zombie and two Vulgars on the opposite sides of the room. Go through the only other door in here.

Lounge

There will be a soldier in here on the left. Take a door on the right and go through the next room.

Excavation Transfer

There will be an Imp in here to the right. Go down the steps and through the door.

Debris Processing

Interact with the terminal and wait for the bridge to expand. At the other end a Vulgar will spawn. Then climb down the ladder. Remove the power cell from the generator here. A zombie will come out of the wall. Go to the other end of the room, going up the stairs and out through the door.

Artifact Processing

There will be a Vulgar at the other end of the hall. Make a left and kill the Imp that is in here along with a Vulgar. Then go through that room.

Excavation Receiving

Go down the stairs and insert the power cell into the generator. Get on the lift and then once at the top, climb the ladder.

Ventilation System

Go to the end and climb down the ladder on the right. Walk down the ramp here and enter the elevator to end the level.

Level 5: Erebus - Level 5

Erebus Cargo Storage

There will be an Imp at the far end and around the right corner. There will also be a zombie on the other side of the railing. When the two Imps are dead you will need to kill a Vulgar that spawns dead ahead of you. Head where the Vulgar spawned and go through the door.

There will be a zombie in here and a second one around the corner.

Elevator Bay

There will be two Imps. One comes from the front and there will be another comes from the door on the left. Go through door in front of you and through the next room (which will trigger a cutscene).

Research Support

A zombie will come from the top of the stairs. Go up the stairs and through the door.

Research Sector 2

In here there will be a zombie in the middle of the room. An Imp will be coming from the far door, and a Vulgar will come up from the stairs. Note the health station down at the bottom of the stairs. Go through the door that was by the Imp.

Erebus Cargo Storage

Follow the room around here. There will be one zombie right near the entrance. Then when you go around the corner a Vulgar will come from ceiling down to the catwalk.

Upper Cargo Storage

Just keep following the linear path. You will have one Imp spawn in by the door.

Cargo Storage Stairwell

Just go down the stairs where an Imp will be waiting for you. At the bottom of the stairwell is a PDA (Sean Gibson) (11/21).

Erebus Cargo Storage

Two Imps will spawn in here. When they are dead two Vulgars will spawn on each side of the room (one near where you came in, and one on the other side of the room). Unlock the door in here and go through it. On the other side of the door will be an Imp. Continue through the room, hugging the wall to the next door. An Imp will come out of that door. Go through it.

Erebus Storage Hallway

In here one Imp will come from the other end. You can now take a right into the locked door.

Armory

One Vulgar will spawn in here as you enter. On the right side of the room inside of a metal cabinet is a PDA (Leo Avery) (12/21). Go to the other door in here to pick up the Chaingun. Unlock the door and go through. There is also a health station across from the door. Follow the linear path until you reach the Waste Tunnels.

Waste Tunnels

There will be one zombie on the left as you enter. You will cross one bridge, and then another. As you cross the second bridge a Cherub will spawn along with a second Cherub slightly further on the path just before the stairs. Go down the steps and go forward. For those familiar with the green acid in Doom 1 and Doom 2, this is not the case here. It is just sewage, so don't worry about it hurting you. One Maggot will run at you. Then when you hit the other end a Mancubus will spawn. When it dies the door will open up, then go through the next.

When you reach the next room there will be a couple of Maggots and Cherubs. Go up the stairs and follow the path. On the second bridge a Cherub will spawn. There is a ton of ammo here, so grab that. Then go down the steps at the other end and through the door. Before leaving a Mancubus will spawn and block your path. Then go through the next door too.

In here there will be a couple of Maggots along with some Cherubs and zombies. Continue through this room and then the next small one.

Again you will get some Maggots and Cherubs. Go up the stairs and follow the path to the door to get out of here. The path will take you to the airlock and the exit.

Site One Surface

There will be a Cacodemon out here right away. Get on the walkway and follow the path (there will be an oxygen tank to the right). Take the left path to find a ladder and an oxygen tank. Climb the ladder. At the top there will be a split in the path. You will get two Vulgars, one down each path. For progression, take the right path, then the left path to find the airlock. Then take a right and go through the door.

Sewage Maintenance

There will be a Vulgar in here at the end that will knock down a machine near a red barrel. Go through the next door and a Vulgar will spawn at the other end of the hall. At the end of the hall a fat zombie will bust down a wall on the right. Go through the door.

Sewage Stairwell

As you enter there will be a fat zombie on the left. A vulgar will spawn at the bottom of the stairs. You will see a door here, but don't take it yet. Turn around and go through the door under the stairs.

Blocked Passage

As you enter there will be a zombie on your right. Go down the steps and take a left. There will be a dead soldier with a PDA (Fred Grossman) (13/21). There will also be a zombie hiding down here. The path is pretty linear and you will be following the bot. Around the first corner are some ticks and zombies. A vulgar will also spawn behind you. Once you round the corner there will be a fat zombie followed by more Ticks. In the corner after that will be an area that is a little more open. A Revenant will spawn in the middle of the room. At the junction ahead you will get ambushed by two Vulgars, one from the right and the other from behind. There will also be a fat zombie around the left corner and some Ticks that come to the right. Then you'll go up a ramp to the second section.

Main Sewer Tunnel B

Right at the start will be a zombie on the right. Then around the corner will be a zombie and two Ticks. You will hit a cutscene and there will be two Vulgars that spawn. Then when they are dead a Revenant will walk around the corner at the other end. Follow the hall to the broken door where the Sentry Bot will park itself if it lived.

Sewer Filtration

On the right is a health station. There will be a ladder near the health station. Climb it and follow the path.

Cargo Transport

Go to the left side of the room for a cutscene. This will trigger a boss fight with the Berserk Hunter. The key here is the Artifact. This enemy moves far too quickly and the only way to do damage is shooting it's heart when it's ribcage opens up. Once you see it open up, use the Artifact and start shooting. If you need charges for the Artifact there are bodies all around the floor here. When it is dead you will unlock:

When you are ready turn around and cross the bridge and activate the train to exit the level. You will also have access to the Berserk ability through the Artifact. To the left of the stairs is a bench with a body on it, charge up your Artifact if you can. Go up those stairs and there are another two bodies to absorb. Go through the door with the Artifact equipped.

Activate the Artifact and take out your Fists with Guide for DOOM 3 - Resurrection of Evil (36). You can quickly kill the Commando and the two Soldiers in here (Artifact Berserk Kills 1-3/20). There is a health station in here if you need it. Go through the other door in here. Activate the Artifact again as you go through the door.

Communications Support

Kill the two zombies in here, and the zombie after it. Go down the next hall and kill the Vulgar that spawns (Artifact Berserk Kills 4-8/20). You might be able to get the zombie in the next room to the right, but the timing can be tough. After that zombie is dead, absorb the dead body for the Artifact, and then go to the next room.

Teleportaion Reception

There will be a Chaingun Soldier at the other end of the room. There will also be a Vulgar on the other side of the room. A second one will come from the door the Chaingun Soldier was by. Go through that door and through the hall. Watch out for the Commando that runs at you.

Teleporting Science

You can get a lot of Berserk kills in here. Activate it and kill the 3 soldiers in here that are up the stairs. Then take the left from the stairs and go down the hall and quickly kill the Pinky and Soldier near the door (Artifact Berserk Kills 9-13/20). Watch out for the Vulgar that will come at you from the previous room (assuming you are in Connecting Corridor 2B where the Pinky was). Go through the door.

Teleportation Chamber

Wait for the Commando to run at you and use the Artifact. You should be able to kill the Commando and two Soldiers (Artifact Berserk Kills 14-17/20). Go down the stairs here, hang a left, and go straight through the door. In here you will get the Rocket Launcher. In here, interact with the first computer terminal on the desk, then the second one that pops up. Pick Pad 1 - Delta. A Hell Knight will come out of the portal and walk away. Several Revenants will spawn. Go up the stairs and go through the door that was locked before.

Now, we are going to backtrack a bit. The room where that first Chaingun Soldier was is still going to have three Vulgars in it. They thankfully don't follow us but you are going to need to go back and kill them so that you don't have to deal with them when you get back to this room later. When you open the door you can hide behind the door and wait for each to come to you one by one. Just shoot them with the Double Barrel Shotgun. Continue to backtrack to the first room to take the final body to charge the Artifact. In the second room (Communication Tower) feel free to take health from the health station if it still has any juice.

For the Revenants this room can be tough on Nightmare. Go out into the room, use the Double Barrel on the first Revenant as it spawns. Use the Artifact and kill the next one that spawns with your Fists and then the Chaingun Soldier as it comes down the ramp. Now, go up the ramp punch the Revenant that spawns here. Go through the other door to kill the next Revenant and then turn around and kill the last Revenant that spawns in the same place the previous one did. If you have ran out of Hell Time by the time you reach the last Revenant you should be to just use the Double Barrel Shotgun to quickly kill it.

Teleporter Mechanical

There will be a zombie on your left. Then follow the path to the right and there will be a Vulgar. Go left here for another and then go down the steps. Go down the next set of steps to find two soldiers. On the crate near the door is a dead body which can be absorbed for Artifact charging. Go back up the stairs and take that right path instead. At the other end of that catwalk is a Revenant. Then around that corner will be two zombies. When you are about to enter the next room there will be more zombies. Behind you will be a Vulgar.

At the other end kill the two zombies and then turn around and hide behind the corner with your Double Barrel Shotgun and blast the Vulgar that pops out.

Storage

Two Vulgars will spawn on either side of the room. There is also Storage Locker 042 (Code 714) in here. As you go to the next room there will be a Pinky behind the door. Then drop down into the hole and crouch to get to the other busted floor panel. In there will be a PDA (Bernard Fresko) (14/21). In here there will also be two bodies to absorb along with the keycard. Go out of the door in here and take the elevator down. Out of the elevator take a right.

Right as you go out and to the left there will be two Forgotten Ones. Continue that way to the platforms. Go left for an oxygen tank then take the opposite path. On that path there will be a Revenant. Continue past it. Follow the stairs upward and then take a right into the first door you see.

Head down the stairs and by the barrel and a dead body is a PDA (Seth Killian) (16/21). If you follow the path to the end you'll find a body to absorb along with a health station. When out here there will be two Forgotten Ones and a Cacodemon. Kill the two Forgotten Souls and run to the airlock at the other end.

Time for another boss fight. You must start off this fight by shooting him as usual. Eventually he will do an electric attack when the room goes red and the terminal on one of the cylinders in the corner will turn green. When that is done you will need to shoot the boss more and it will die. When it does you will unlock:

Go around the corner and there will be three Soldiers. Then take the lift down. At the bottom you're going to get ambushed by 4 Revenants and a Pinky. It's easy to get cornered so be careful. Go through the door down here.

Down here is another choice to get through a Sentry Bot section without one dying. If you go around the first corner three Vulgars will spawn. When they are dead a Wraith will come from behind you. Around the next corner is another Vulgar. Then another Vulgar will spawn along with two Wraiths. Note the body for absorption in the corner. After the next corner there is a Vulgar. Then at the other end will be a Wraith. Take that next left and you will see yet another Vulgar. And then another group of pairs of Vulgars and Wraiths. After that the Sentry Bot will park and you will pop the achievement if it survived. Take the elevator up and go through the elevator.

Monorail Station

In here is another body to absorb if you need it. Follow the room to the next. There will be three Bruisers. When they are dead climb the stairs on the left and go through the door at the end.

Teleportation Reception

In here there will be two soldiers. And more are going to keep spawning because through the far door in this room is an Arch-Vile. Once that is dead there will be a couple of Revenants and then more Vulgars and Soldiers will start pouring in. From the entrance take a right and go through the door. Also, the place that the Arch-Vile comes from has a body to charge the Artifact inside.

For the Arch-Vile just launch two Rockets with the Rocket Launcher at it. Then go around the corner and activate the two Revenants. Use the Plasma Gun. Just unload on the first one then back into the previous room and do the same for the second one when it comes around the corner. Go up the stairs to trigger two Vulgars. Go back to the previous room and just use the Grabber on them.

Teleporter Mechanical

A Bruiser will spawn right as you go in. After it is dead go up the stairs and there will be three Soldiers waiting for you. There will also be a short passage on the right that will have an Wraith spawn in it. Go across the bridge and an Arch-Vile will spawn. When it is dead there will be Wraiths spawning the way you came from. Go down that path the first Wraith spawned. Then go through the door.

Teleportation Chamber

A Bruiser will spawn down in the teleporter. There will also be three Revenants that spawn around it. After they are all dead another Revenant will spawn upstairs. Go in that office and activate the teleporter and select Pad 1 - Delta. Go through it. Just be careful because a Bruiser will spawn in here. This will end the level.

Level 12: Hell

Unidentified

As you spawn there will be two dead bodies that you can absorb near you. Walk forward and two Wraiths will spawn. Then another will. When you enter the cave a bunch of Ticks will lower to the ground. Walk forward through the wall that opens up. There will be an Imp waiting for you.

In this same area a Vulgar will climb out of the giant hole in the ground. A Cacodemon will also spawn. Head through the cave. When you reach a junction there will be two Imps, followed by a Forgotten Soul and a Cacodemon. The rightward path will take you to some ammo (including BFG ammo). Go forward.

There will be some Forgotten Ones along with a Hell Knight. Go straight through the room and then hang a right. Watch out for the Imp. Two Wraiths will also spawn in this room. Once they are done a Mancubus will spawn and block your path. Continue forward to the door behind which a Hell Knight will be hiding.

A little further into this room is an Imp and then a bit after that will be another Hell Knight. Keep moving. Further down the hall will be yet another Hall Knight. On top of that there will be two Wraiths. Continue through linear path. When cross a bridge, ignore the downward ramp as it leads to seemingly nothing. When you cross an Imp and two Cacodemons will spawn. At the end of this room before you hang a left into a cave there will two Vulgars that climb up in front and behind you. In the next room will be two Vulgars and an Imp. In the next room there will be a bunch of bodies around to absorb. Jump through the portal here.

Time for the final boss, the Maledict. For Nightmare: SAVE. Anytime you see the boss fly below the area you are on, save.

This boss will take damage from any weapon (unlike the one from the main Doom 3 campaign). However, it is going to be flying around often and moving very fast. The key to most of the fight is the Artifact. On either sides of the skull are two bodies to recharge it. Use the Artifact, unload with your weapon of choice, then repeat. Eventually you will run out of ways to charge the Artifact. By that point the Maledict should be periodically landing on that giant skull. This is your opportunity to do damage again without the Artifact. Once it is dead, you will have finished Resurrection of Evil unlocking two achievements:

Playthrough 2: Nightmare

Just like Doom 3, it is now time for the Nightmare playthrough the one difference this time is you do not have the Soul Cube. You will still have the Artifact and Grabber, but none of these give health back to you like the Soul Cube. So you will need to rely solely on health stations, giving less room for error. The bright side is that this campaign is much shorter overall. Also, just like Doom 3 you will find combat tips within the spoilers for each section above.
